If anything is not correct on the artwork, you should do an annotation about what is not correct, and then reject the artwork.


For this you have to enter the viewer (described in How to enter the viewer) as the annotations on the artwork are added in the OBDM viewer.


How to view annotations

When the 'Show Annotations' switch is set to the right, all annotations added to the artwork are shown. When the switch is set to the left, you can see the artwork without the added annotations.



How to do an annotation with the annotation tools:

At the left you find the  'Annotation' buttons.



With the button at the right, you can add a highlighted note:





With the button at the left, you can add an annotation:



Different shapes are offered: square (1), oval (2), line (3), arrow (4) or free hand drawing (5) on a part of the packaging layout

You can highlight a text (6) and do an annotation about it.

You can even do an annotation for the complete page (7).


You can change the color of the annotation by changing it on the color palette (8).


You can reverse to the default annotation colors (9).




How to do an annotation with the measure and text tools: 

You can use the measure tools and text tools to give an annotation to the selected tool. The available features of the measure and text tools are described in the article How to use the different tools in the viewer


When using a measure or text tool, you have the possibilty to make an annotation within the used tool.


Example:



A new window opens and you can add your annotation to the selected measurement / text tool (1), change the color for marking your annotation (2), use rich text tools (3), save (4) and also delete the added annotation (5):


 


Review the annotations in the Annotations panel:

On the left panel, you can find the icon 'Annotation List'.


By clicking on the icon the complete annotation list is displayed.

 

When you click on an annotation added by another project member, the system will zoom to it in the artwork. The annotation pops up.

You can set a review state (1), zoom in (2), duplicate the annotation (3), give a reply (4) in the pop -up window as well as in the annotation list.



You can perform adaptations for your added annotation when clicking on the three dots (3) in your annotation in the annotation list. Then you can edit, duplicate, save, delete your annotation. Deletion is only possible for an annotation you have created. It is also possible to zoom (2) in the artwork and edit in the pop-up window.



How to reject the artwork:

Click on the red 'Reject' button



A confirmation window will open, where you have to commit your rejection.



You cannot reject an artwork if you have not made an annotation about what is wrong with the artwork.


How to approve the artwork:

Click on the green 'Approve' Button



A confirmation window will open, where you have to commit your rejection.
